Hannover-Langenhagen Airport (HAJ) is the largest international airport in the state of Niedersachsen. According to passenger numbers, Hannover Airport ranks 9th among commercial airports in Germany. There are 14,000 parking spaces at Hannover Airport for travellers and business travellers. There are enough parking spaces available for both short and long term parking. Book parking spaces at the airport online in advance

Hannover Airport recommends that passengers reserve a parking space before they arrive. Especially if you are in a hurry, this saves you the trip to the ticket machine on site and thus additional time and nerves. Simply select the booking period and the desired parking space and secure a spot.

Parking spaces for long-term rental

Would you like to park your vehicle at Hannover Airport for your vacation or business trip? Then there are various options for long-term parking available to you. The fees depend on the proximity of the parking lot to the terminals and also on the facilities of the parking area (parking garage vs. uncovered parking). There is no minimum parking period for long-term parking at the airport, the maximum parking period is two months.

• If you want to save your vacation budget and park inexpensively, either park in the uncovered parking lot “P10 Spar-Plus” for only 44€ per week.
• Or you can opt for the parking garage “P7 Spar-Plus” for 63€ per week. The walk to the terminal is 15 minutes.
• Would you prefer to park your car under a roof? Then use the reasonably priced tourist parking garages P4, P5 and P6. The walk to the terminals is only 5 minutes.
• If you are in a hurry, for example on your way to a business trip, you can also park directly at the terminal. The P2 and P3 parking garages are recommended here. The covered parking spaces cost the standard rate of €26 per day with less than a 5-minute walk to the terminal. As the parking time increases, the daily rates decrease. In the P1 Comfort parking garage, you have a maximum of 2 minutes’ walk to the terminal.

Parking spaces for short-term parking

With the customer-friendly “KISS & FLY” offer, pick-ups or drop-offs can stop in front of Terminals A, B and C for up to 3 minutes free of charge. Exit is also free of charge at parking garages 1-3 (directly opposite of the terminals) within the first 30 minutes. If you park longer, the costs are divided as follows:

• at the parking lots P4-7 Spar and P2-3 Normal, P1 Comfort only 4€ per hour;
• the cost for up to 6 hours of parking is 12€.

Other parking spaces and parking garages

Guarded parking spaces are offered in the parking garage “P1 Exklusiv”. Here you will find 160 exclusive parking spaces in a closed area with video surveillance, motion detectors and LED signs. You will also find extra wide parking spaces (2.75m). There is a charge of €37 per day and €126 for the first week.

Designated parking spaces for disabled persons are always located near the exits or elevators, so that barrier-free access to the airport is always possible. If you have a parking permit or a pass for severely disabled people, you can also park free of charge in the designated spaces in front of the terminals for entering and exiting your vehicle.

Payment options for parking at the airport

The following payment options for parking fees are available to you:

• Online: You can only pay for your online booking by credit card (American Express, Mastercard, VISA).
• Parking garages: The pay machines accept EC or credit cards (American Express, Diners Club, Mastercard, VISA) as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay.
• Cash payment is only possible at the Airport Service Center (Arrivals level, Terminal B).
• Short-term parking directly in front of Terminals A, B & C: Payable at parking ticket machines. EasyPark and Paybyphone possible in all short-term parking areas.

What additional service is available at Hannover Airport?

With the Valet Parking Service (in parking garage P1) you save additional time when parking at the airport. This is how the service works:

• Drive right up to your departure terminal and park in the short-term parking zone.
• You hand over your vehicle key at check-in. The airport valet will then park your vehicle in parking garage 1. This service costs €5.
• Parking in the P1 Exclusive parking garage costs €37 per day and €126 for the first week.
• When you return, you pay your open parking fee at the Airport Service Center (arrivals level Terminal B, open 24 hours). You can then pick up your vehicle in parking garage P1.
